TY - Data T1 - Measurement Records of Debris Flow Gully Sections in Jiangjiagou, Yunnan Province, 1999-2005 A1 - Hong Yong DO - 10.12072/ncdc.DDFORS.db0051.2020 PY - 2020 DA - 2020-12-21 PB - National Cryosphere Desert Data Center AB - Dongchuan Debris Flow Observation and Research Station of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Dongchuan Station for short) is located in the Jiangjiagou Valley in Tongdu Town, Dongchuan District, Kunming, Yunnan Province, 103'08 'E, 26'14' N, 1320 meters above sea level, covering an area of about 70 mu, 20 kilometers from Tongdu Town, Dongchuan District, and 200 kilometers from Kunming City. Jiangjia Gully covers an area of 48.6 square kilometers, with a main gully length of 13.9 kilometers. It is a high-frequency debris flow gully with an average of 15 outbreaks per year, with a maximum of 28. It belongs to the Xiaojiang region, known as the "Natural Museum of Debris Flow", and is the world's best place for debris flow observation, experimentation, and research. The cross-section measurement of Jiangjiagou observation section is divided into upper cross-section measurement, interrupted cross-section measurement, and lower cross-section measurement, observing the horizontal distance and elevation difference of each observation point. As an important component of the overall observation of debris flow in Jiangjiagou, the cross-sectional area is of great significance for the study of the occurrence, movement, and evolution of debris flow. Cross section data can also provide data support for debris flows. This dataset is the measurement records of the debris flow gully cross-section in Jiangjiagou, Yunnan from 1999 to 2005 DB - NCDC UR - http://www.ncdc.ac.cn/portal/metadata/20e39d06-0d1d-11e6-af40-5cc5d45ad3ae ER -
