Measuring instruments: ring knife and TDR. Dig out 1m soil profile in desert, orchard and other places, and measure soil moisture at 0cm, 20cm, 40cm and 1m. TDR in remote sensing has two probes with different lengths, 12cm and 20cm respectively. Therefore, 12cm and 20cm probes were used to measure the bare soil and under film soil in corn quadrat, inter ridge soil and under wheat soil in wheat quadrat.
