Different underlying surface temperatures around two points in zamashk basin, the West Branch of the upper reaches of Heihe River Basin, and four points in Babao River Basin, the East Branch of Heihe River Basin are selected for synchronous observation. Two instruments are used to measure the surface radiation temperature at different locations, including fixed self recording point thermometer (Beijing Normal University 3#) and handheld infrared thermometer (cold and drought Institute h1#, h3# H4 #, Beijing Normal University B1 #, B2 #), in which a fixed self recording point thermometer is used at one point in Babao River Basin, which automatically records the temperature every 6 seconds, and the underlying surface is observed as natural grassland. The surface temperature of the other five points is manually observed by hand-held infrared thermometer when widas enters the sky above the observation point. Each instrument is calibrated in black after use. Typical underlying surfaces around each observation point are selected for observation. The observed underlying surfaces mainly include grassland, river surface, beach, gravel, etc., and some of the underlying surfaces are equipped with corresponding photosObservation data are stored in Excel
