The continuous observation and sampling work began in September of the same year. The sampling frequency is once a week. Surface snow samples are taken from the top 5cm of the snow pit (including new snow and deposited snow), and samples are taken every 10cm in the entire snow pit. The sample analysis work was completed in the laboratory of Tianshan Glaciological Station, analyzing the main anions and cations, pH value, conductivity, dust, etc. in each sample. Since 2002, more than 4000 samples have been collected and over 2500 have been analyzed. The analysis of the remaining samples is currently underway
