TY - Data T1 - A 30m land use/cover change dataset from 1985 to 2020 in the floodplain of the lower Yellow River A1 - None A1 - None A1 - None DO - 10.57760/sciencedb.j00001.00781 PY - 2023 DA - 2023-09-19 PB - National Cryosphere Desert Data Center AB - The floodplain of the lower Yellow River is a significant component of the Yellow River Basin. Mapping a long-term and high-reliable dataset of land use/land cover change for the floodplain of the lower Yellow River is helpful to reproduce its historical trajectory and understand the current pattern. The present study selected 36 Landsat5 TM remote sensing images from 1985 to 2010, in addition to 8 GF-1 WFV and 12 Landsat8 OLI remote sensing images from 2015 to 2020. By using random forest and human-computer interactive interpretation and confusion matrix accuracy evaluation, the land use/cover change data of the floodplain of the lower Yellow River in eight periods every five years from 1985 to 2020 were developed. The data has a spatial resolution of 30 m, with an overall accuracy of over 90% and a Kappa coefficient higher than 0.85. This dataset can provide scientific data for regional ecological protection, national spatial planning, coupled natural-human system processes, mechanisms, measurements in typical regions of the Yellow River Basin.
