AB  - This dataset takes the Ulanbuhe Desert, Kubuqi Desert, the eastern part of Helan Mountains, and the desert grassland at the northern foot of the Western Ordos Yinshan Mountains as the survey areas. A total of 404 survey points and 79 survey points were surveyed from 2017 to 2021. Focus on investigating vegetation types such as grassland shrub desert, semi shrub dwarf semi shrub desert, and shrub desert distributed in the study area. The main vegetation formations investigated amounted to 30 species, among which the main shrub formations include the Red Sand Formation, Pearl Salsola Formation, Caragana korshinskii Formation, etc. The main herbaceous formations include the Short Flower Stipa Formation, Alkali Leek Formation, Sand Stipa Formation, etc.Taking all the communities distributed in the research area as the survey objects, 6559 photos of the community habitat were taken during the survey period. In order to investigate the vertical structure of the community, drones were used to take overall landscape photos of the sample plot at 6 vertical heights of 10m, 20m, 30m, 50m, 70m, 90m, and 110m, and shrub plot features were taken at a height of 20m. And use a camera to capture the horizontal distribution characteristics of plant communities and shrubs and herbaceous samples, in order to facilitate the division of plant community boundaries and study the spatial distribution pattern characteristics of plant populations.
